I’ve been combing through the pile of press releases and book announcements just for you. There are always lots of new cookbooks hitting bookstores and online sellers each and every month. I’m not going to try and tell you that we have included each and every release for the month. Because we haven’t. These are our top dozen. The best twelve titles released this month. At least in our humble opinion. Please consider making room in your collection for one or more of these mouthwatering titles.
April Notes– Usually April brings a healthy dose of BBQ, grilling and outdoor cooking books. Not so much this year. Yeah, there is a smattering of them. But, it’s not the full, all out deluge on the topic you have come to expect. There are a few worth mentioning. Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction is notable. And, Where There’s Smoke: Simple, Sustainable, Delicious Grilling handles the subject matter nicely. They are both pretty accessible works. One book out this month that is certainly worth a look isn’t a cookbook at all. Author Michael Pollen’s, Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation drops April 23rd. Like all Pollen books, it should make for interesting reading. – Read, Cook, Eat
