Everybody likes bread. Well, maybe not the dedicated Atkins followers. Trust me, they still like bread too, they’re just into some strange type of culinary self denial.
Authors Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois have put together this great book on how to make some fantastic artisan bread right in your own home.
There are almost one hundred recipes included here that don’t need kneading, rising, starting or any of the other usual time consuming steps involved in traditional bread making.
The claim here is that all it takes is five minutes of “active” prep time to create a superbly tasting loaf of bread. There still is a little resting and baking time involved in each recipe. But, even at that, if Jeff and Zoe can take the potential all day aspect out of bread making, I’m all for it.
